2017 Year in Review and Looking Forward

Year in Review 2017 Life & Real Estate

Wow, what a year 2017 has been! It started off with a “bang” or should say “crack” as both my leg and home ended up needing some serious TLC! Thankfully, my husband Bill, jumped on board to help! Together we got the marketing ready for a bunch of new listings I just took on in the jungle.

Early 2017 Jungle Prada Sales

In early 2017 I had 4 sales in the Jungle and surrounding neighborhoods! 7931 ELBOW was massive 6 bedroom home, which needed the perfect family. 4557 5th had been lovingly maintained by the same owners for 50 years.  3426 BOCA CIEGA was perfect for a first-time home buyer. 1580 JUNGLE had an amazing pool and backyard, such a delightful home to sell.

Mid 2017 Downtown & Caya Costa Sales

The middle of the year was quite busy as well. In May I sold this beautiful home in SNELL & HAMLETT’S NORTH SHORE, as well as this 2 bedroom home nestled on the shores of Lake Caya Costa. I also sold a gorgeous banyan tree-lined Key West style home in Historic Uptown.

Professional Photography

Always have a great time working with fabulous photographer Jim Tizzano. He gets as excited as I do when we get the perfect shots to “tell the story” of a new listing. Yesterday we shot two unique and exciting houses in the Jungle. Yesterday evening met for a twilight shot of one of them. I can hardly wait to share them when they hit the market next week!

Mid 2017 Sales in Isla Del Sol, Sheryl Manor, and Gulfport

I sold a lovely condo in Palma Del Mar on the Isla Del Sol, which is a wonderful place to retire. I also sold a perfect & affordable 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in popular Sheryl Manor. Sheryl Manor is an excellent place to shop if you’re a first-time homeowner. The homes in Sheryl Manor are typical very solidly built and well priced. I also sold a investors special in Gulfport that had long-term tenants for 8 years, continues rental income.

EThe Impact of Hurricane Irma

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Irma’s leading edge brought hurricane-force winds to the Florida Keys late Saturday, bending palm trees and spitting rain as the storm swirled north with 120 mph winds on a projected new track that could expose St. Petersburg – not Miami or even Tampa – to a direct hit.

Hurricane Irma was a serious hassle to St. Pete residents. We ended up dodging a direct hit in the end, but the storm still had a major impact on the community, not to mention real estate sales.
